Rainy Saturday!

Haven't done much lately, been raining like crazy...but I have been scrapping.  Here's a few things I have been working on.

I'm also just starting an Art Journal !  Going to see what comes out of it...I've only created this one page so far, and it's not done yet!  I'll post more when I get more pages...

In mourning & Creating

This is my way of dealing with the issues in my life, I create.  I lock myself in my craft room and block out the world.  As you all know, or the ones who follow me know, my grandmother has been dying of cancer...evil Cancer...I hate it!

Well, she has now passed on, she's no longer in pain, no longer suffering, no longer watching her family cry...she's happy, peaceful, and I'm sure she's having a drink of Rye with her friends and family...maybe even dancing like a fool!!  She was such a wonderful woman...I loved her unconditionally, she never judged you, never asked questions when I would just show up in her home, she would just be there for you.  She would give you everything or whatever she could give you.  I loved her, even though in my adult life I didn't spend as much time with her as I would have liked to, I hope she knows that I still cared. Tomorrow I pack up my family to say our final goodbyes to her...it's going to be a hard day.  I know this is the best for her, and she is no longer suffering, I am happy that she is at the end of her journey, she's done..but she will be missed.  I haven't cried yet, but I know I will.  It will be sad.

Well, this is the way I deal with my frustrations, stresses & everything that bothers me...so here is what I have done so far.

Introducing Our Guest Designer this week...Melissa Dehne

I started scrapbooking about nine years ago but really became much more involved in paper crafting in general, about two years ago.  I am a teacher, turned stay at home mom, who is living the dream : )  I have a very supportive husband who understands and encourages my obsession hobby as well as three sweet kids who make my life much more fun!  If I am not getting crafty, I read non-stop and enjoy baking, sewing (a bit) as well as travel.  I got a new camera recently and have been enjoying discovering all of the possibilities available to me with a manual camera!  My family is the subject of most of my layouts but I love the fact that when it is time to get crafty, it is pure *me* time.  The friends that I have made through this fabulous hobby are second to none!  I am so pleased to have been a Guest Designer for Captured Cards!

Weekend Crop!

The weekend crop in Moncton was a great time!!  I got to scrap with a bunch of talented women, enjoyed lots of food & laughter and of course lots of shopping!!  OK...well, I didn't do that much shopping, but someone I know, yes that's you MICHELLE!!  She sure can shop!! gotta love it!! I did manage to complete 4 LO, and 2 almost done LO's...I got stuck on 2 of them. 

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to the crop or not, I was feeling so nauseous...it did last all weekend, but my friend Gravol & Pepto were there to help me out!! LOL So, I was still feeling yucky, but I wasn't missing it!!

So here are 4 of the LO's I completed at the crop!
